We are well on our way to the first day of school! Madeline is excited about her school supplies. I know you can buy them from the school, but I think it is fun to buy them at the store and let the kids help! I always enjoyed getting my supplies and, sure enough, so did Miss Madeline!
She has a new backpack and lunchbox!
Friday was Meet the Teacher. Madeline’s teacher is Miss Emily Post. Isn’t that a terribly adorable name? We are guaranteed she has the best manners! To me, she seems like the epitome of a Kindergarten teacher…young, pretty and super sweet!

Miss Post also read the kids a story…..Madeline is so excited about Monday! On another happy note…her school had implemented Love & Logic as their only form of correction! Wow…..(I used to teach it to foster parents back in the day and we use at our home, too) It is wonderful!
On Sunday our church had a special “Blessing of the Backpacks”. It was so sweet. The children all brought their backpacks to the service and were prayed over. They gave them a special tag for their bag, too…it said “I will have great school year, my Backpack has been blessed!!!” Super cute!
Okay, I am overwhelmed with Kindergarten cuteness……I love it and I am so excited!!! :-)
