Happenings….

Spring has really sprung at our little house. We have been busy planting. Madeline planted a beautiful rose bush just outside her window. It bloomed this week and the roses are so very fragrant. We cut some for our dining room table. Lovely!

Al and the girls started a mini garden in the backyard. We are not doing a big one this year. The yard is just too small and Al doesn’t want anything permanent. Have  I mentioned we are renting this house? We are putting every cent of our budget overage to our savings for the down payment on a new one. Unfortunately when we sold our house, we took no equity with us so we are back to square one! :-) ANYWAY…. they have planted..

big boy tomatoes

cherry tomatoes

squash

strawberries

rosemary

lavender

hmmmm…what else? better check…

For a big project this year, they are building a bean teepee. This will be fun! Kinda like this one…where the girls can play and have their adventures… and I will get fresh beans all summer…can’t wait!

We also did plant geraniums, petunias, stock, snapdragons and impatiens here and there. Just a little bit to get us some color!

I just this love this picture of Marcella. She is such a happy girl and this picture captures it so well.

I thought I would share with you what we did with our upstairs game room. This house has such a weird layout. For example, it only has 3 bedrooms, but it has a 3 car garage and this big game room upstairs. So we divided it up…

Al’s part…the office…

I guess it truly is a “family” room. Well, it works for now. We feel blessed to be living here! Hope you are all enjoying the Lenten season and are anticipating all the wonderful things to come!
