That title got your attention, didn't it?:-) Our family adopted a sweet girl doggie from the SPCA on Saturday. We are shelter-dog people. With the economy, especially, so many people are giving up their pets. I just couldn't buy a purebred dog with pets being euthanized daily. We just had to save one! I truly believe that children NEED dogs in their childhood... dogs that they can love on and help take care of them. Let me tell you, Madeline is in LOVE with Lilly!! She pets her, walks her, cuddles her and brushes her. They have become instant best friends.
It has been almost 2 years since our beloved Casey passed away. It was time.
Lilly turned one year old just this month and she is a Labrador. The shelter said she has never lived in a real home...just moved around to different shelters...sniffsniff. She hasn't been dressed up, (yet) but she has been given a pillow and blanket for each nap!
Al is so good with her,too. I call him the dog-whisperer because dogs just love him. But he gets down on their level and wrestles with them and stuff, so I guess dogs like that stuff..hahaha.
Lilly has been realllllly good, as well. Too good, almost. She has pottied in the house only 1 time in three days and as not been a lick of trouble. Hmmmm. 
Well, we love her and are happy to have her in the family!
Marcella doesn't know what to think. She just looks at her a lot and says "hi!' to her all the time.....and she pats her a lot....
This beautiful tub used to belong to only me...now I have to share! but not at the same time....

yeah, that title made my heart jump! Anyway, what a cute dog! I'm so glad for you guys. How fun to have a new member of the family. =)
