Today ( a couple months ago) we made Plum Jelly! It is, by far, the yummiest of the jams and jellies I have ever made. My mom's hairdresser has a huge plum tree and offered my dad as many as he wanted. He picked about 10 lbs. for me! About the same time my mother-in-law bought us a Jack Lalanne juicer. Perfect timing, as I was able to make the best juice with that baby~ skins and all. No peeling, coring, cooking, straining....just threw them whole into the juicer! Cool. As you can see, Al helped me out! He likes to stuff things in to the chute...haha.
My cheerful little helpers are always willing to give me a hand!
Of course, we made this in May and our supplies are dwindling. This is the only jelly the girls want on their pb&j~ seriously, it is good stuff! Luckily, Market Street has plums on sale this week 10/$1....what a deal! I am going to make tons! Perfect for little Christmas gifts... "Sugar~Plum Jelly" !!! (Act surprised if I give you some)

First, I'm SO SO SO SO glad to see you back blogging. I missed pictures and stories of your sweet family.
Second, my sister's plum tree is going crazy this year, too, so I think there might be some plum jam making in my future, too!!
