Simple Woman’s Daybook ~ May 4, 2009

For Today, May 4, 2009...

Outside my window... cloudy and cool in the 60’s. The ground is soaked and muddy!

I am thinking... that I am glad to be home from the Women’s Retreat. I don’t need to “retreat” anywhere.

I am thankful for...  a great vet that determined Lilly-Kate has a severe issue of anxiety-driven fear and now she is on doggie psych meds! Praying that she warms up to Al. The Doctor firmly believes she was abused by someone of a similar stature in her previous home. POOR BABY!!!

From the kitchen... hmmmm…no baking today. I just need to recover the house from my absence. I think I’ll make salisbury steak and mashed potatoes for dinner, though.

I am wearing... khaki shorts and green top! barefoot!

I am reading... my new Food Network magazine just came in the mail. It is really great.

I am hoping... we can find a church that is right for us. I know God has a plan and I can’t wait to uncover it!

I am creating...a couple of small scrapbooks to give the girls when they are older, detailing the prayers I have for them in their life. I got the idea from the retreat this weekend. I can’t wait to start them.

I am hearing... peace and contentment in my heart.

Around the house... weekend catch up laundry. Our beans are about 4 inches tall…they love all this rain we have been getting! The grass is out of control high but is too wet to be mowed. yuck!

One of my favorite things... berry picking..we are going in June. Can’t wait to make preserves with the girls.

A few plans for the rest of the week... lunch with a dear cousin , cook out with old friends I haven’t seen in years, bible study. really fun week!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

my baby….the happiest one I know….

Hope your day is simple and wonderful, too!!
