A Family Outing….

Our family recently tried out a new-to-us place close by in McKinney…

The Heard Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary!

It was really beautiful. They have a bunch of really great hiking trails that are very well maintained. We ended up getting a membership so that we could some back and hike the different trails when ever we like. :-)

Plus, their butterfly sanctuary opens next month and Madeline and Marcella just have to see it!

Did I mention we invited my folks? Madeline is giving Poppi a small bouquet of flowers she just picked.

Lots of cool science hands-on activities….

Madeline with her walking stick that Daddy found for her. Incidentally, we didn’t realize we would be walking the trails or the girls wouldn’t have been wearing dresses! :-)

Marcella loves her backpack….wouldn’t you?!?!? Now, that’s the life!

She likes to pick things off the trees and then “mess” with Daddy’s ears….

 

She likes to walk, too…..but, a couple of miles is too far for her, though~
