I don't know about y'all, but my children have a bunch of toys! I fully admit that I am at fault. Maybe if I had had boys, this wouldn't have been an issue. But God blessed me with girls and I love girl stuff!!!! I love the dolls, dress-up, play houses..everything. Now, in my defense I am storing a broad age range of toys right now. With a 1 year and a 5 year old there are toys for every age in between. For example, if Marcella hadn't come along I would probably have given away Madeline's Little People collection, etc. But it is all there. I am also a Purging Nazi. I NEVER keep junk toys or happy meal toys after about say...1 day. If something breaks and can't be repaired, out it goes! Now, we don't have a play room in this house, but we do have a "nook" outside the girls' bedrooms. It has a built in desk with shelves over it that hold art supplies. Opposite that is our wooden kitchen. And then there is this beautiful storage closet...I love this closet and it will be sorely missed when we move. 
I have bins for each type of toy and they are labeled. One for My Little Ponies, Barbie, Princess...you get the idea. After Madeline's party I had to buy some more bins. We generally just have out one or two bins at a time. All the little pieces that always come with kids' toys (especially Littlest Pet Shop!) stay in the appropriate bin. Any stragglers are easily put away at the end of the day. I love this system and I thought you might like to try it, too. Now, I will admit the girls have a lot of toys. As Marcella grows, we will be begin to give away the things she outgrows. A big box of really cute baby toys is coming to you, Yvonne!!! So, anyway, when we move, I think I will keep this system by storing the bins in the girls' closet or in the armoire or maybe we will be blessed with a game room in our new home. So, how about y'all? How do you keep tabs on a bunch of toys for varying age groups? With Christmas around the corner, now is the time to purge and regroup! I would love to hear some more ideas! My statcounter says that 40- 50 people check my blog everyday. So lets hear from ya!

Did I tell you that you are amazing??? I don't know where you find the time to do all that you do??? You are super organized and make pies and jams and I am insanely jealous at your talents :) You are an fabulous mommy and wife and person :) Miss you.
I love how organized you are!! I too am jealous....Maybe you can come help me out when you move to Texas!!! Can't wait!! Little Ricky will love a big box of cute baby toys.
