Happy Birthday Sweetie!

While we were away, Al celebrated his 36th birthday. We decided to celebrate when we were back home. I always tease Al on his birthday because for 3 short months he is a year older than I am ! Did I say that right? Anyways, now he is 36 and I am still the young tender age of 35. Heehee. Love you, Honey!
Madeline and I made Daddy a Butter Pecan cake. She wanted yellow frosting, so I kinda made it in to a harvest cake, of sorts. Those are little leaf flakes on the top. He thought it was yummy!
Doesn't he look happy?
For his birthday present, the girls and I bought him a White Mountain old fashioned ice cream maker! He was really happy. The three of them had fun making the first batch yesterday. Just plain old vanilla. It is a lot of manly-type work, I must say...but he loved it!!! We both have fond memories in our childhoods of sitting on the porch making ice cream. His memory is of his grandfather's home and mine was at my beloved Aunt Dodie's house. You know we are all about making the memories and I thought this would be fun. Wanna come over for some? We'll make YOUR favorite flavor! You never know when we might end up back in your neck of the woods! ;-)
Boy, is it loud! Next time, outside. :-)
Yum-bo!
Happy Birthday, Dear!
