I so cannot believe I gave this post that title. I couldn't help it! Once it popped in my mind it just stuck.....ANYWAY, figs are in season and I decided to make some fig preserves. One of my favorite appetizers is baguette slices with fig preserves and blue or goat cheese. Goat cheese is really much better, unless you have really good quality blue..not in the little tub from walmart. Trust me on this one! :-) I once took a cooking class at Central Market back in Dallas and they served fig halves with blue cheese and a honey drizzle and I thought it would taste awful...but it was soooo good! I was young...what did I know? I was hooked!
So here they are....aren't they pretty? I used Brown Turkey figs. I wish I had a fig tree, but no such luck!
