My family was truly blessed to spend an incredible weekend at Longboat Key on the west coast of Florida. This was a spur of the moment trip...one that will live in our memories forever. We were able to stay at the Hilton beachfront resort this trip and it was so lovely. It is the only commercial resort on this Key...amidst many private residences. We stayed here for free, mind you, by using points from Al's frequent traveler points. A wonderful benefit to occasional business travel, don't you think? We have stayed for free at Hilton hotels all over the place with this program....NY City...D.C....and others. It is a blessing, for sure. This island was just a stones' throw away (2 hours from home!) Can't beat that!
This was Marcella's first trip to the ocean. It was incredible!
This was the first day we arrived. We headed straight down to the shore. It was about 40 feet from our room.
The seashells were amazing. The best I've seen. We collected a ton! I have saved sand from every beach we have been to as a family...just three so far. It should make for a lovely collection of our family travels one day.
Thank you Lord, for this opportunity for rest and relaxation....especially for my dear, hardworking husband.
