Show and Tell Friday

Show and Tell

I have decided to post for Kelli's weekly Show and Tell Friday. Click on the picture to visit her charming blog!

I chose to "show" something cute and something old and cherished. The chair belonged to my Granny Daniels and was used at her kitchen many, many years ago. My cousin, Alicia, passed it on to me and I am so grateful! It was in pretty bad shape but Al repaired it and painted it white....back in 2001, I believe. Since then this beautiful chair has lived in Madeline's nursery(as a baby) and now Marcella's nursery. I love it!!!!

On top of the chair is a darling sock monkey that Marcella's Great Aunt Carol made for her when she was born. Isn't she soooo cute with her little monkey dress on? I truly cherish handmade items like this. What love is put in to them! On future show and tells I'll show my mom's quilts and other fun things. Thanks for looking!!

I love hand made things and things passed won from family -- how sweet to have some mementos like that! I think this is the first time I have ever seen a sock monkey with clothes on -- great idea!

Oops -- That was supposed to be "passed down from family."
