They continued their work on Sunday afternoon.
Marcella and I brought them a little lunch. They were working so hard,
after all!
Madeline dug all the holes with her gardening tools. All the plants were starters except for the carrots. They planted two rows of carrot seeds. Seems like a lot to me. I bet Al will pickle some. Have you ever had pickled carrot sticks or green beans?

Marcella enjoyed being out in the breeze and just watching. It was such a beautiful day!
Lovin' on her Daddy! The sermon today at church was on spending our time wisely and not neglecting our families for other pursuits....no matter how righteous are our intentions. I felt so proud sitting there when I thought about how devoted Al is to us. Forget the whole "quality" time stuff.....these girls get quantity AND quality! It is so evident when you see the adoration Madeline has for her Daddy. sigh.
It will be fun to compare this picture with another in a few months! If you come and visit us we will share the bounty and cook up some yummy things! :-) Thanks for looking at our garden!
