Y'all know we love to pick stuff! This summer we went blackberry picking. We brought along our little neighbor friend who has never picked anything, ever. She loved it!
The berries were slim picking the morning we went and we really had to hunt for them.
This was an excellent bush~
They sure were tasty, though!
We brought home half a gallon, I guess. I used a third of them to botch up a batch of preserves ~ over cooked them~ drats! The rest I have frozen to make jelly with, I think. I don't care for the little seeds, so jelly is best :-)
Miss Marcella was content to just ride in the wagon and eat to her sweet little heart's content! It was a nice, albeit warm, summer morning!
