Howdy there! I just realized it had been quite awhile since I have posted! I am have been busy getting used to our new school schedule. What fun we are having! Madeline adores school. She told me she wishes she could go every day! Writing workshop is her favorite “class”. Sometimes in the mornings she runs to school, literally runs way ahead of us…..cute stuff. Her school is incredible. The PTA threw a big picnic to welcome the kids. Bounce house, face painting, treats and a live music! Wow. We all had fun! I am the class “room parent”. It is really not much trouble and I will get to help plan the class parties! You know, that is fun for me!
If you are not on Facebook, you may not know that Al had emergency gall bladder removal surgery a couple of weeks ago. I couldn’t resist taking this picture before he went into surgery. He is doing great now, praise the Lord!
In other news, Madeline is completely in love with ice skating! She is now in lessons twice a week and has a private lesson before her Thursday class. The lessons are only 30 minutes long, so I don’t feel it is too much for her. I still don’t have my Girl Scout Troop! I went to a training last week and they said I would have my troop in 2 days and I still don’t have it. Hopefully soon! I was flipping through the events catalog and I have to say there are so very many wonderful opportunities in scouting. I am thrilled for Madeline to be a part of it!
I am loving my time with my sweet Marcella Claire. She is the cuddliest, sweetest 2 year old ever! She truly fills my days with joy. She loves her “doggies” and is always loving on them. She surprised us last week by counting to 12! What??? Crazy stuff….. :-) Marcella absolutely loves Sunday School! She goes right in and never looks back! Hahaha. She is such a peach!
We finished putting out Autumn decorations and with the weather change it is really feeling like fall! I adore it! I have been cooking some of our favorite cold weather dishes and I am going to puree a bunch of pumpkins and soon as I spot some sugar pumpkins! This weekend we are going to plant mums…yeah for some cheerful color! :-)
Well, just wanted to check in. Hope you are all having a lovely Autumn!
