I made a chalkboard!

 

Using Sugarpiefarmhouse’s great idea, I made my own chalkboard!!! forgot to take a “before” picture, so I found a picture of what I used. It is a Lang calendar frame that I found at my local thrift store for $2. I spray painted it black and then the center board I spray painted with chalk. Fun, fumey times!

I added a cute gingham bow and it was ready to go! easy~peasy.

These are the cool Chalk Ink pens I bought. The ones on the left are from Michaels and on the right are pens from Hobby Lobby. Sorry, beloved HobLob….the others are much easier to write with and have a slanted tip!TADA! I think it is pretty good for  my first try…. I don’t see myself rewriting the sign every day, so I think I will make a list of my planned weekly menu instead. It would make a cute chore chart, too. Maybe that can be my next project! :-)
