My, my….the weather has been so beautiful here! We have been busy, busy outside…well, mostly my hard workin’ hubby! :-) I added some basil, dill and cilantro to my herb garden this week. Madeline’s strawberry plant has a little strawberry growing. Al bought a few more tomato varieties. You know we have the tiniest backyard, right? Look where Al planted this row of tomatoes! Right along the back drive way! Thank goodness he has a tiller! Every time I post a picture of him I want to write “isn’t he cute?” but I’m not going to this time. :-)
This is the start of the girls’ beanpole tent! They are already playing in it…Madeline spotted this fella through the window, too…she was soooo excited. I mean excited!!! Al and I…not so much. I’m sure he will take a nibble on the tomatoes! We’ll have to call him “Peter” and get him a little blue coat.
Marcella and I found a blackberry bush for 50% off at Lowe’s today and I couldn’t resist. I fondly remember picking berries at my Granny and Papa’s farm in the summer. yum…and so much fun! I hope I get them to grow. This morning I also planted a row of Mammoth Sunflowers along the back fence right behind the playset. It is going to be a surprise for the girls. I would have loved to make a sunflower house but that will have to wait until we are in the new house…need lots more room! All in God’s perfect timing! :-) I hope you are all enjoying the magnificent spring!
xoxoxo,
Kristina

I LOVE those giant sunflowers. I wonder if we could get them to grow here (I know I couldn't, but maybe Rob could?)
I know your girls will be thrilled!!
