Do you like pickles? My family sure does, but we are picky! I really can't eat any kind except Claussen. The shelf variety are soggy and weird-colored, in my humble opinion. After eating the true NY variety, there is just no going back. I had my first real kosher dill pickle when we honeymooned on Martha's Vineyard Island. They were in a giant bucket at a local deli and I fell I love. I thought I would like to try making some that come close to NY style. Crunchy!!

I read up on pickling and found that it is best to soak them in ice water for a couple of hours.

Look at all that fresh dill! I wish I had grown it, but dill doesn't fare well in Florida.

Packing 'em up! I discovered that I am not a good pickle-packer. It's hard to get those guys in there!

If nothing else, they sure LOOK pretty! We are
supposed to wait 6 weeks or so before trying them! I'll let you know if they live up to our expectations! :-) Maybe YOU can try one, too!

Have a happy day, sweet people!!!!
