Well, I have been thinking that I have a lot to share with y'all! I love this time of year, even if it is still too warm. I just fake it! I pretend the leaves are falling and the mornings are chilly. I cook for the season, too, despite the weather. I processed several sugar pumpkins this week and I have enough pumpkin puree for 4 pies, breads, or whatevers in the freezer. This morning Madeline said (again) "what a beautiful summer day!" and I explain (again) the weird Florida lack-of-seasons. I love planning for the holidays and all. This is my favorite time of the year and I love all the activities! We are going to try and fit in one more beach trip, too....before the first frost....hahaha. I am kinda out of beach mode, but looking back over our pictures from this summer makes me lonesome for the shore.
In other news, we have told Madeline that we are "hoping" we might get to move back to Texas....kind of planting the seed, so to speak. We don't want to tell her it is definite, as I think she will have to mull over it for too long. She made the comment yesterday "if we go back to Texas and it snows....":-). We are all ready! Al has been traveling to Dallas a bit and we miss him. I am thrilled that I got Madeline in a Christian preschool in Little Elm. I had put her on a waiting list at the beginning of the month and her name came up. They are even going to hold the spot for her until January. Praise the Lord! I am hoping that starting school right away will help her with the transition. Did you know my baby is turning 5 next month? I am not happy about this at all and I don't even want to think about her starting Kindergarten next year. I just won't think about and then it won't happen. See how great that works? :-) I scheduled Madeline's 5TH birthday party yesterday. It will be at Dylan's Candy Bar in Orlando. Super cute place...Madeline is in hog heaven...like a kid in a candy store...literally! We visited it yesterday and she just loved it! Whew...glad that is taken care of! :-) You would think that Orlando would have a ton of great birthday places, but they don't. I was so happy to find this place. We saw the original store when we were in N.Y. City and I was happy to find out they had opened one here. I think a child's 5th birthday is extra special!
So, baby Marcella figured out how to climb today...right up on top of the coffee table, followed shortly by climbing up on the sofas. So there she is, STANDING on the coffee table, doing her little dance and clapping for herself....teetering dangerously close to the edge. So, I took her down and she got right back up....and I took her down...she popped right back up! I can see my life as I know it is changing! In desperation, I put the sofa cushions around the table and then had remove all the frames and decoration off the sofa table. Boy Howdy, does my living room look like a tornado hit! :-)Ahhhh...life with a toddler! Wow, what a bunch of random thoughts. I am surely not a writer, but I am trying to get more of my thoughts down on paper, so to speak, for posterity. :-) Thanks for stopping by!

I love the Pioneer Woman Cooks and am making her wild rice and corn casserole to take to Rob's mom's house for Thanksgiving. I love this time of year, too, even though today it was 77 degrees in Pennsylvania!!!

My girlies have the same cookbook...and love it! :)
