I have been thinking about this post for awhile. I have sent an email to family letting them know we are moving back home but I thought I needed to share this with my bloggy-world friends. Al has been summoned to Dallas for a new client and he jumped at the chance. I am so proud of him. He excels at his job and continues to do very well. We will be back in January. We have known about this for awhile but we kept it a secret (mostly) so as to not get hopes up, should it not happen. This time of waiting has given me a chance to reflect on the last 2 1/2 years since we left home. Moving first to Pennsylvania was huge blessing and opportunity for my tiny family of three. The promotion that Al received made it possible for me to finally be able to stay home with Madeline. While we were in that area we saw a part of the country that was very unfamiliar to us. We experienced true seasons changes and sledding in our own backyard. We took weekend jaunts to New York City, Washington D.C., and toured the Amish countryside. We created a new life in Pennsylvania, our precious blessing, Marcella Claire. That is something we never thought possible for us again. Oh, the joy! Moving to Florida was another change and having Marcella arrive early shortly after we arrived was a challenge. We got settled in and Madeline started school and we all made friends. We discovered DISNEY and that made the move here worthwhile! :-) We went to many, many beaches and had a wonderful time.
I am so grateful to my Al for all his incredible hard work and complete devotion to his family. I wouldn't trade the last few years for anything and I don't regret a second of it!
Even given our fun journey, we want to be home in Texas and, God willing, we will see you come January. I can't wait to make that first fire in the fireplace! I miss winter!

OHHH---I wish I had your attitude when my husband moved us across country 3 times---I cried so much---but I think I was scared of the unknown. You sound so happy and I can't wait to hear of your exciting journey!! If you go back to the very beginning of my blog--like the first 10 posts (or so), it is all about our move from Georgia to California---and my BOX count of packing...lol.

You will be missed!
