First day of Autumn...

Well, today is the Autumnal Equinox...Fall! It doesn't look like autumn...doesn't smell like autumn...hmmm...we must be in Florida! I thought I would share some pictures of a what a real autumn looks like. These pictures are from 2 years ago, when we spent a year in beautiful Pennsylvania. Madeline was just about to turn 3. I hope you enjoy them and it puts you in an autumn warm and cozy mood!
Al made this fire ring in our backyard. They loved to roast marshmallows. Al liked to burn up all kinds of stuff...leaves, brush...you name it, he'd throw it in the fire! :-) This was in September! We took a tour of an apple butter factory....and we visited an apple festival. We picked apples and brought home a bushel. I made a bunch of applesauce but I didn't know how to can back then so I just froze it. It was gone in a few months. Oh, how I wish we could do that again this year!! We can...we just have to get the apples from the farmers market! :-) This tree was in our front yard. It was simply beautiful.
Daddy raked up all these leaves for Madeline. (the video below) You can see the woodsmoke above the house coming from our fire. It smelled wonderful. I love how Casey runs by at the end of the clip. He loved exploring that place! Thank you for sharing these memories with us...now on to make some more!
Love, Kristina
