The Alpine Slide

I don't know if I have mentioned it or not, but, growing up, my family often vactioned in Jackson and had a great time. I have very fond memories of summers spent horseback riding along trails high in the mountains, white water rafting down the Snake river and hiking. (thanks, mom and dad!) Another thing my brother, Randy, and I loved was going down the Alpine Slide. I was thrilled to see it was still operating and Madeline could try it out. Marcella was still to little, so we watched at the bottom of the mountain.

You take a chair lift up the side of a mountain and ride the slide down from there.

Madeline loved it! Marcella explored a local tree and crawled around the grass...more of the super-soft variety!

Here they come~ Madeline was beside herself with joy. She really wanted to ride it again. However, at $14 a pop, we thought once was enough....

It is so fun to see your child enjoying something you loved as a child.

Not too much of that these days...
