A special, different, egg hunt this year.....

Our church had a wonderful Easter celebration for the children this year. They re-created Jerusalem in Jesus' time and it was open to the whole community. They had egg hunts, of course, but the focus was on Him. People were dressed in period wear and the activites were amazing. Madeline did some "carpentry" work (just like Jesus), made a cross out of wire and nails, attended Hebrew school ( the girls were included) and shopped for market items with her allocated gold coins that each child received. I was really impressed that the church focused on the real meaning of the holiday and not just the bunny.

Looks like Home Depot day!

Marcella is checking out one of Madeline's eggs........and wearing her sunglasses! I better get this child her own pair soon!
